Function The weed inspector reported on the condition of roadsides throughout the growing season and the weed situation in the county including the appearance of new weeds. The weed inspector issued notices for the removal of weeds on private property and sprayed and mowed weeds on public property.
Administrative History or Biography

In 1950, County of Waterloo Council was required under the Weed Control Act to appoint a weed inspector. The Ontario Department of Agriculture paid 50% of the weed inspector's remuneration and travelling expenses.
