Function The Employment and Income Support Community Advisory Committee provides advice on employment and income support programs delivered by Social Services for the betterment of services to the residents of the Region of Waterloo.
Administrative History or Biography

The Employment and Income Support Community Advisory Committee was formed in 2002 and evolved from the Employment Services Community Advisory Committee (1997-2001). It reports to the Community Services Committee and is composed of 36 members including Ontario Works/Ontario Disability Support Program, clients, community agencies and partners, funders, business representatives and Regional staff. In the past the committee has discussed ways to work collaboratively to address the employment needs of those impacted by recessions; shared information and provided input into several community initiatives such as Second Career and the Local Immigration Partnership Council.
